About Us

Geelong Christian Assembly is a local church that meets in Vines Road Community Centre in Hamlyn Heights in Geelong. We enjoy meeting up to learn, pray and worship together.
We put a high emphasis on learning and trying to follow the Bible in how we meet together because we believe it is God’s word and His instructions to us. We also put a high emphasis on communicating back to God by praying to Him together and asking for His direction.
The way we do church may be a little different to what you would be used to so please take a look around to website or contact us if you would like to know more. The frequently asked questions page has some more details about our beliefs and practices.

Timings

Sunday:

  • 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM — Remembrance Meeting — A time of singing, prayer and short thoughts from the Bible focused on the topic of remembering the Lord Jesus. Toward the end we take the bread and wine as a way to remember the Lord Jesus.

  • 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM — Afternoon Tea — A time to catch up and chat.

  • 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM — Ministry — A time of learning from the Bible. Most weeks one of the brothhers will teach or share something from the Bible. We will occasionally watch a video with Bible teaching.

Tuesday:

  • 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM — Prayer Meeting — We start by sharing things to pray about, then sing a song together and then pray together.

  • 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM — On a normal Tuesday night we will focus on a passage of the Bible. One person will lead the study time but anyone can contribute to discussion, answering questions etc. We are a group of learners!
